I didn’t do photography until I moved to Washington state, but the stunning beauty and diversity of landscapes here inspired me to get a used camera and start shooting. Thus far, my favorite subject is the oft-ignored desert landscape in the center of the state.
I use an old, beat-up first generation digital Canon Rebel and compared to the work of true professionals, my work is more like snapshots. I go on road-trips and walks through Washington state and Seattle looking for beauty. My favorite part of taking photos is trying to find a photographic composition that pays respect to the larger scene my eyes can see.
